"Join us for Books, Brunch, and Bellinis!

The Literary Luncheon is AAUW Laguna Beach’s biggest annual fundraiser. This special event gives us a wonderful opportunity to get together with friends, colleagues, and branch members to listen to outstanding women authors while raising funds for scholarships and worthy projects that are administered by our branch’s nonprofit arm, the 501(c)(3) AAUW Laguna Beach Foundation."

Lisa See is the New York Times bestselling author of The Island of Sea WomenThe Tea Girl of Hummingbird LaneSnow Flower and the Secret FanPeony in LoveShanghai GirlsChina Dolls, and Dreams of Joy, which debuted at #1. She is also the author of On Gold Mountain, which tells the story of her Chinese American family’s settlement in Los Angeles. See was the recipient of the Golden Spike Award from the Chinese Historical Association of Southern California and the Historymaker’s Award from the Chinese American Museum. She was also named National Woman of the Year by the Organization of Chinese American Women.

Jill G. Hall is the author of a dual timeline trilogy about women searching for their place in the world connected by vintage finds. The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a nationwide network of more than 170,000 members and supporters, 1,000 branches, and 800 college/university institution partners. The mission of AAUW is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.  Our active Laguna Beach branch encourages girls and women from the elementary through college level to pursue education, with scholarships being a key component of our outreach programs.  The branch was founded in 1967 and includes over 150 residents of Laguna Beach and surrounding communities.
